Description of Course As the aging population continues to grow to record numbers, diseases associated with the elderly are playing a prominent role in health care and one of these is Alzheimer’s Disease (AD).
Progressive decline in AD poses significant challenges to families and professional caregivers who struggle to provide optimal care throughout the spectrum of the illness. Current therapies do not reverse the disease process, but can play an important role in the rate of decline and functional disability – thus impacting quality of life for patients and caregivers.
